4.89M Google AI impressions and 127.6K AI citations in three months

A B2B tech brand showed up 4.89M times in Google's AI answers and was named 127.6K times as a source in Bing and Copilot in three months. The five things that mattered most, and why it is never just five.
The client is a global B2B tech company whose buyers are engineers. In three months the site showed up in Google's AI answers 4.89M times, and Bing and Copilot named it as a source in an AI answer 127.6K times. On an average day, Bing and Copilot named 158 different pages on the site.
Five things mattered most: add what the top results don't already say (we aim for about 30% new), put the answer first, answer the follow-up questions too, check every claim, and explain the basic terms on short pages that link to the product.
It's never just five things. Behind them there's a 33-step writing and checking process, technical fixes, editing rounds and tracking for 836 search terms. These five made the biggest difference.
The company is under NDA, so we can't name it. Every number is real.
